Peel Harvey Pesky Pests is divided into two curriculum packages: F-2 and 3-6. Each package has 10 lessons, with most aimed to be taught within one or two 45 minute timeslots.

The lessons cover three unit themes:

• Unit One: Introduction of Pests

• Unit Two: Impact of Pests

• Unit Three: Management of Pests

Professor Bandi features throughout the lesson plans and has also been spotted in the students worksheets and activities. Professor Bandi is the curriculums mascot and is based on the small marsupial found in the South West of Western Australia - the Southern Brown Bandicoot. These animals, along with many other small native marsupials are threatened by pests as they are in direct competition for food and burrows and are also predated on by foxes and cats.
